Are you an experienced Contracts or Project Manager looking for your next challenge?
A leading engineering and marine-focused organisation is seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Contracts Manager to lead their project team. This role is central to planning, coordinating, and delivering high-profile technical projects across multiple stakeholders.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee the allocation of tasks within the team, ensuring alignment with contract deliverables. You will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, OEMs, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and to the highest standards.
Lead and manage the project team, ensuring successful development and completion of all technical tasks
Oversee planning and execution of complex upgrade and modification programs
Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure alignment with engineering and regulatory standards
Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and OEMs to define scope, budgets, and resource requirements
Deliver projects from initial request through execution and completion
Manage cost estimation, resource allocation, change control, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate technical documentation and produce comprehensive project reports
Attend client meetings as the lead representative
Contribute to invoicing and negotiation of final settlements with third parties
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory regulations
Monitor team performance through KPIs and provide monthly updates to senior management
Essential:
Proven experience in project or contract management, preferably in marine, engineering, or shipbuilding sectors
HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple technical workstreams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Project management certification (PRINCE2, APM, PMP)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
Desirable:
Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder engineering projects
Knowledge of industry standards, classification requirements, or regulatory frameworks
