Senior Recruitment Consultant

Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: Competitive Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

About Us

Stafforce Ports is a growing and successful recruitment business specialising in supplying skilled and flexible workforce solutions across the Ports, Logistics, Industrial, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Maritime sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant, Principal Consultant, or Managing Consultant to join our Teesside team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious recruiter who is passionate about building client relationships, developing new business, and delivering exceptional results.

The Opportunity

This is a full 360 recruitment role where you will take ownership of the entire recruitment process, from business development and account management through to candidate attraction and successful placements.

You will have the autonomy to grow your own desk while being supported by an established brand, experienced management team, and a strong network of existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Conducting sales calls, client meetings, and business development activities.
  • Advertising vacancies across job boards, social media, and other recruitment platforms.
  • Sourcing, screening, interviewing, and placing candidates.
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy intake to placement.
  • Negotiating rates, fees, terms of business, and offers.
  • Maintaining accurate candidate and client records using CRM and ATS systems.
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed sales and recruitment targets.
  • Providing outstanding customer service to clients and candidates.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Recruitment consultancy experience or a strong background in sales/business development
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Commercially driven and target-focused mindset
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident using Microsoft Office and recruitment systems

Desirable

Knowledge of the North East recruitment market
Experience recruiting within Industrial, Ports, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or Maritime sectors

Full UK Driving Licence
