We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager on behalf of our well established client based on the outskirts of Lincoln. You will need your own transport due to the location.

This is a full time, permanent position working 4 on 4 off, days/nights rotating. (6am-6pm/6pm-6am).

The Role

As Shift Manager, you'll be responsible for the performance, safety and engagement of your shift, working closely with Engineering, Technical, Supply Chain and NPD teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing shift operatives
  • Ensuring all products are manufactured safely, right first time
  • Maintaining and improving GMP, food safety and site standards
  • Deploying labour effectively to meet production plans
  • Managing downtime, line performance and yield
  • Ensuring compliance with all business processes and procedures
  • Closing out shift issues, complaints and NCRs in a timely manner
  • Communicating clearly with stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting recruitment and succession planning within your shift
  • Driving a positive, accountable and high-performing culture

What We're Looking For

  • Manufacturing background, ideally food, pet food or FMCG
  • Proven experience as a Shift Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor
  • HACCP Level 2 (or willingness to complete)
  • Awareness of BRC and food safety standards
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
  • Experience improving performance, yield or efficiency
  • Strong people leadership and influencing skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Comfortable with ownership, accountability and change
