SHUNTER DRIVER

We are recruiting an experienced Shunter Driver to a join a recycling company based in Hull City Centre. This is a ongoing contract which will lead to a permanent placement for the right candidate, offering a payrate of £16 per hour.

Monday-Friday 12pm - 10pm

The Shunter Driver is a ongoing contract which will lead to a permanent placement for the right candidate. The role will commence with immediate effect however, if you have a notice period with your current employer we ill work around that.

Job description

As a Shunter Driver you will be responsible for all onsite logistics on a busy waste recycling site. Your duties will include;

• Moving trailers around the site
• Removing curtains
• Prepping trailers for loading
• Carrying out checks of the trailer and it's load and logging them on a tablet
• Moving loading trailers to the weighbridge and into parking bays

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Shunter Driver you must;

• Have previous experience working as a shunter / TUG driver
• Have a valid license
• Be able and confident to manoeuvre large vehicles in small, narrow spaces
• Be reliable, have good timekeeping and a desire to secure long term, permanent work
• Be comfortable working within the household waste environment
