Shifts: Roatating shifts

About the Role:

Straightened steel top hat bars weighing up to 800kg using overhead cranes and hydraulic presses. Operated shot blasting machinery, moved steel using forklifts, side-loaders and cranes, and loaded/unloaded lorry trailers while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating overhead cranes and hydraulic presses
  • Operating a straightening press
  • Operated shot blasting machinery to clean and prepare steel products to a high-quality finish.
  • Moved steel throughout the workshop using forklifts, side-loaders, and overhead cranes.
  • Loaded and unloaded lorry trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Followed health and safety procedures while handling heavy steel products and operating plant equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and side-loaders safely.
  • Experience handling heavy steel products up to 800kg.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic press operation and steel straightening.
  • Ability to work to strict tolerances and quality standards.
  • Experience loading and unloading lorry trailers.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Good attention to detail and teamwork skills.
