Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and organised Stores Person to join our vehicle parts department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the stock of vehicle parts, ensuring that inventory is accurate, and assisting with the supply of parts to customers or internal teams. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our business, ensuring that vehicle parts are efficiently stored, tracked, and supplied to meet the needs of our customers and service departments.
Ensure all vehicle parts are properly stocked, stored, and catalogued in the inventory system.
Conduct regular stock checks, update stock levels, and report on any discrepancies or shortages.
Safely receive, inspect, and store incoming parts, ensuring they are in good condition and match the order specifications.
Ensure all parts are stored securely and efficiently in appropriate locations, optimising the storage space available.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the parts storage area, adhering to safety regulations.
Pick and pack vehicle parts for internal teams or customer orders as needed.
Ensure all orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched in a timely manner.
Monitor inventory levels to determine when to reorder vehicle parts.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of required parts.
Assist in placing orders with suppliers, ensuring the correct parts are ordered at the right time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment, ideally within the automotive or vehicle parts industry, is highly desirable.
Familiarity with vehicle parts and their specifications is an advantage but not essential.
