I'm currently working with a fantastic client in the housing sector who is looking for an experienced Property Surveyor to join their team. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a well-established organisation that is committed to providing high-quality homes and outstanding customer service.

About the Role:

As a Property Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering expert surveying services across the organisation, ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained, and compliant. You'll play a crucial role in identifying property defects, managing repairs and maintenance projects, and working alongside in-house teams and external contractors to deliver solutions efficiently.

This is a varied and dynamic role, perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across multiple projects, and making a real impact in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and assess property repairs, providing technical advice on appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare schedules of work and oversee minor/major maintenance projects.
  • Provide expert technical support to legal teams on disrepair cases.
  • Work closely with operational managers, contractors, and consultants to ensure projects are completed to a high standard.
  • Support planned maintenance programs, including property assessments and component replacement planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and residents.

What My Client is Looking For:

  • Strong background in property surveying or building maintenance.
  • Relevant qualification - Degree, HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction, or equivalent.
  • Ideally, membership with RICS (not essential but highly desirable).
  • A commercially aware approach with a focus on delivering value for money.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to transport for site visits.
