We are currently recruiting Temporary Class 2 refuse driver to join a busy and well-established waste and recycling team in Kendal. This is a full time position covering holidays and sickness for until the end of March.

This is a hands-on, outdoor role that plays a vital part in keeping local communities clean, safe and environmentally responsible.

£15.37ph

The Role

As a Class 2 Refuse driver, you will be responsible for collecting waste from commercial and domestic properties.

Working as part of a crew, you will help ensure collections are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your duties will include:

  • Collecting waste from designated routes
  • Working closely with other operatives to complete rounds
  • Following health & safety procedures at all times
  • Providing a professional and courteous service to the public
  • Keeping work areas and vehicles clean and tidy

About You

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy outdoor work and working as part of a team. You do not need previous experience as full training will be provided.

You should be:

  • Physically fit
  • Punctual, dependable and motivated
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Safety-conscious with good attention to detail
  • A team player with a positive attitude

Requirements

  • Class 2 driving Qualification
  • CPC - FULL
  • DIGI
