TRAILER MECHANIC

We are recruiting a number of experienced Workshop Trailer Mechanics & a Mobile Trailer Technician to join a market leader in transportation to be based in Grays Thurrock, Essex. These are all Permanent Vacancies with great opportunities to progress, offering an excellent salary of £44,000 PLUS a £1000 joining bonus and increased holiday entitlement!!

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm

45 hour working week

The Trailer Mechanic roles are Permanent positions that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job description

As a Trailer Mechanic you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing trailers to a high maintenance standard. Day to day you will be expected to;

• Inspect, service and repair trailers to a high maintenance standard
• Ensure all vehicles are kept and operated in accordance to road traffic laws and company policies at all times
• Carry out brakes, suspension, general repairs, 6 weekly inspections and routine services
• Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines

As a Mobile Trailer Technician you will also be expected to;

• Attend roadside breakdowns
• Conduct roadside repairs and services

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Trailer Mechanic you must;

· Have previous experience working on trailers

· Be able to complete relevant paperwork and have basic knowledge of computers

· Have a good level of communication and be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

· Hold a full UK Driving License

It would also be beneficial (but not essential) if you have experience in;

· Welding

· Double deck maintenance
