We're on the lookout for a Warehouse Manager to join our well established and expanding client based in Melton on a full time, permanent basis.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Salary: £35-40k (depending on experience)
Direct Reports: Warehouse Supervisor (Goods In), Warehouse Supervisor (Goods Out), Warehouse & Stock Control Administrator.
Indirect Reports - 6-8 Warehouse Operatives.
The Role:
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing the safe day to day operation of a 60,000sq ft warehouse facility. As well as taking responsibility and ownership for all inbound and outbound activities and associated staff. Ensuring agreed standards are met/exceeded with effective people and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and take ownership of maintaining high levels of housekeeping standards across site.
- Ensuring Health & Safety policies, rules and procedures are always adhered to across site.
- Drive process and procedural adherence and improvement.
- Scheduling of daily workload and allocation of staff - including overtime approval, sign off and accountability.
- Run daily morning briefings with team - in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisors & Warehouse Administrator.
- Ensure all relevant iAuditor inspections are carried out to required standards - inbound, outbound & equipment.
- Ensuring training of staff in all warehouse roles as required.
- Ensure perpetual stock counts are processed accurately to agreed timelines.
- Ensure returns are processed correctly and returned to stock.
- Ensure locking and opening procedures are followed and organised to accommodate shifts.
- Recruitment of warehouse team members as appropriate.
- HR related to direct & indirect reports, including - 1-1s, performance reviews, organising training courses and disciplinary/grievance procedures as required - along with all relevant paperwork (all supported by Warehouse Operations Manager & HR)
- Process/procedure documentation and maintenance.
- Capture & report relevant KPI metrics as prescribed.
- Ensure all equipment on site is suitably maintained and checked in accordance with schedule.
- Managing site traffic, including inbound/outbound vehicles and FLT onsite.
- Help to process and maintain our internal ERP System (Business Central) - i.e. recording stock movements, processing picks etc....
- Improvement projects and other work as allocated by Warehouse Operations Manager.
