Job Description: Warehouse Operative

Location: South Shields

Salary: £29,916.80 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Rotating 3-shift pattern

  • Earlies: 7am-3pm
  • Lates: 3pm-11pm
  • Nights: 11pm-7am
  • (Some weekend work may be required)

Stafforce is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative for our valued client in South Shields.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates seeking a permanent position in a fast-paced, busy industrial environment. You will work on a rotating shift pattern and receive a full, accredited induction as part of your onboarding.


Role Summary

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working within an experienced team, you will support the day-to-day operations to meet customer and business requirements while maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload vehicles, checking for accuracy and damage
  • Receive and store goods correctly
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Operate forklifts and/or VNA trucks safely (valid licence required)
  • Complete paperwork and use handheld scanners accurately
  • Carry out stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene
  • Follow all health & safety policies, wear PPE, and follow security procedures

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution role
  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift and/or VNA Licence
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners and basic IT systems
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work well in a team
