Job Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Welders and Fabricators for shutdown work in Stamford. This role involves supporting essential maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks during a scheduled shutdown period.

  • Carry out welding and fabrication duties on plant equipment
  • Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on heavy industrial machinery
  • Work safely in a busy shutdown environment
  • Follow site safety rules and permit‑to‑work procedures
  • Work as part of an engineering team to complete shutdown tasks on time

What do you need to be a successful Port Operative

  • City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Welding & Fabrication
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding Engineering
  • MIG Welding (GMAW)
  • TIG Welding (GTAW)
  • Stick/ARC Welding (MMA)
  • Plasma cutting / oxy-acetylene cutting
  • Fabrication from drawings
  • Heavy plant maintenance welding
