We're on the lookout for a Welding and Fabrication Supervisor to join our well established and expanding client based in Loughborough on a full time, permanent basis.

Salary: £17.50 per hour (plenty of overtime available).

Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:15 - 16:15 and Friday 07:15 - 12:15.

The Role:

As a Welding and Fabrication Supervisor, you will lead and be responsible for a team of 7 including a chargehand within a heavy-duty steel workshop.

The role will be 60% on the tools welding / fabricating with the team and 40% supervisory duties. You will be required to ensure key processes including safety and quality are followed within the team. Occasionally, you will be required to deliver toolbox talks and distribute information given in management briefings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Friendly and positive attitude to lead and support a team.
  • Understanding of key processes including safety and quality.
  • Ability to MIG weld and fabricate heavy structural steel.
  • Experience reading technical drawings.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce a consistently high standard of work.
