Job Details

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our clients team. This is a hands-on role working in a busy yard, picking orders, loading and unloading materials, checking stock and keeping the yard organised so daily operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking order components accurately from order sheets
• Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
• Organising and storing stock in the correct yard locations
• Checking incoming and returned materials for damage or missing items
• Cleaning, sorting and preparing materials ready for use
• Assisting with stock checks and keeping basic records up to date
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Supporting drivers and the wider team with daily yard duties
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous yard, warehouse or labouring experience would be an advantage
• Able to work in a physically demanding role and carry out manual handling duties
• Willing to work outdoors in all conditions
• Good awareness of health and safety
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
